He has played a pivotal role in shaping the Sultanate’s economic landscape, having previously served as the Chief Executive of a major national regulatory authority and held senior executive positions within the Ministry of Finance.

His expertise spans fiscal policy, treasury management, and national budgeting. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in managing large-scale financial frameworks and driving institutional efficiency. At ABRAJ, his strategic oversight supports the company’s commitment to financial governance and sustainable growth.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and has completed various executive leadership programs. His presence on the Board ensures deep alignment with national fiscal objectives and the broader goals of Oman Vision 2040.

Ali Al Lawati

Ali Al Lawati brings over 20 years of international energy experience to the Board and currently serves as a senior executive overseeing human capital and technology for a major integrated energy group. His strategic focus lies in portfolio diversification, industry localization, and fostering in-country value (ICV).

Prior to his current role, Ali held global leadership positions at a world-leading oilfield services provider, managing diverse functions across Paris, London, and Houston. He also served as the Regional Managing Director for a major energy technology firm, overseeing thousands of employees and securing strategic anchor investments that strengthened Oman’s energy infrastructure.

Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. His expertise in alternative energy and sustainable operational performance is vital to ABRAJ’s long-term strategic evolution and commitment to net-zero goals.

Mahmoud Al Hashmi

Mahmoud Al Hashmi is a seasoned energy executive with nearly 30 years of experience in multidisciplinary environments across the upstream sector. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of a leading publicly listed energy exploration and production company in Oman, overseeing strategic, technical, and commercial operations.

Mahmoud’s career is defined by his expertise in both onshore and offshore environments, with a strong focus on operational excellence and portfolio management. Since 2010, he has held various leadership roles within major regional energy groups, contributing to their market-leading positions and successful capital market activities.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. He is also a graduate of prestigious national leadership programs in the UK and Switzerland.

Taghreed Al Lawati is a high-caliber professional with over 22 years of experience in internal audit, governance, and risk management. She currently leads the internal audit function for a major national investment authority, acting as a trusted advisor on internal controls and organizational transparency.

Previously, she served as the Chief Audit Executive for a leading publicly listed telecommunications firm for over two decades. Her expertise covers financial and compliance auditing, as well as the evaluation of internal control systems in accordance with international professional standards.

She holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Finance, and is a certified specialist in internal control and risk management. Taghreed’s presence on the Board reinforces ABRAJ’s commitment to institutional integrity and world-class corporate governance.

Azzan Al Abdullatif

Azzan Al Abdullatif is an accomplished energy professional with two decades of experience in upstream leadership and strategic investment. He currently serves as a  chief portfolio officer for a prominent national energy development firm, where he leads high-value divestments and transaction programs

Azzan is recognized for his instrumental role in executing some of the largest Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in Oman’s history, delivering transactions with a cumulative value exceeding $10 billion. His background spans finance, new ventures, and business development across both national and multinational energy sectors.
He holds a degree in Finance and has a proven track record of driving strategic growth. At ABRAJ, his insights into capital markets and strategic partnerships provide significant value to the Board’s financial and expansion mandates.

Sadhak Bindal

Sadhak Bindal serves as a Director within the MENA securities investment division of a global sovereign wealth fund. With a robust background in international finance and portfolio management, he brings a disciplined investment perspective to the ABRAJ Board.

His career includes senior roles at major global investment firms and financial institutions, where he managed diverse asset portfolios and growth funds across several continents. His expertise lies in market analysis, capital allocation, and risk-adjusted return strategies.

Sadhak holds a post-graduate diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s in Technology. He is a CFA charter holder, ensuring that the Board benefits from rigorous financial scrutiny and global investment best practices.

Abdullah Al Mamari is a strategic leader with extensive experience in energy operations and organizational development. He has held senior management positions within major regional energy enterprises, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and driving strategic results.

His career highlights include leading complex turn-around projects and business development mandates that emphasize cost optimization and organizational agility. He is well-versed in the energy transition and has a strong focus on aligning corporate operations with sustainable development themes.

Abdullah holds advanced degrees in engineering and management from recognized international institutions. At ABRAJ, he contributes to the Board’s technical oversight and its mission to remain a leader in the oil and gas services sector in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

Khalid Al Kindi

Khalid Al Kindi is the Board Secretary of ABRAJ Energy Services, bringing over 35 years of experience across corporate governance, board administration, and the public and private sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. In his role, he supports the Board of Directors and its committees by facilitating effective governance, regulatory compliance, board effectiveness, and informed strategic decision-making.

Throughout his career, Khalid has developed extensive expertise in corporate governance, board and committee administration, compliance, risk oversight, and organizational accountability. He has worked closely with boards, executive management, regulators, and shareholders to strengthen governance frameworks, enhance institutional performance, and support effective oversight and decision-making.


Khalid has held senior governance and board-related roles across major national aviation organizations, government regulatory bodies, and strategic crisis management entities. These roles have provided him with broad exposure to complex governance environments, stakeholder engagement, regulatory coordination, and the administration of high-level boards and committees.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Administrative & Financial Sciences from Al-Ahlia Amman University, Jordan. His extensive governance experience supports ABRAJ's commitment to transparency, accountability, sound governance, and sustainable long-term value creation.
